SURPRISE!! I’m in New Zealand

SURPRISE!

So I’m here in New Zealand for a year!! I know it’s crazy, but that is me .

There are alot of reasons I decided to go to New Zealand, one I have just recently graduated and I really wanted to travel but not vacation. And therefore I need to be able to provide myself with some income to fund my travels.

So, the program I registered with to obtain my Working Holiday Visa is SWAP. That is the Canadian version, however, if you live in different countries there are multiple other programs to go through. A popular one for UK and USA residence is BUNAC. Here is New Zealand, it is called the IEP. One, if you are thinking of doing an overseas working holiday program, by yourself, seriously consider going through a program, they have been absolutely wonderful and helpful to me.  AKA, they are also the reason I can upload my videos! (Because internet costs ALOT here!)

So, I am VERY excited to be starting this new part of my life, and to be able to share it will all of you will be just as exciting. However, I am a bit worried about what will become of this blog. See, this is my main portal for all my online work that I do, however, I want this to be my travel blog as well! So, I was thinking should I maybe make a separate travel section of my blog? Or should I just keep everything on here?

I was also temporally thinking of giving this URL a different redirect with a fancy smancy blog name. LOL, but I dunno what that would be yet. So give me some ideas!!!

Anyways, here are some photos from my first few days of being here!! These are from the Sky Tower in Auckland!

The wonderful thing about the program I am going through  is that not only have then been helping me with getting all the bank info and tax stuff setup, they also organize trips in conjunction with STRAY which is a travel bus company down here, and with a local hostel called Nomads. So I enjoy a couple day trips with them one being a  beach BBQ at a local beach here in Auckland, called Mission Bay.

The other being a day trip to Bethelles Beach, and to this wonderful waterfall.

Anyways!! I got tons of more pics and hopefully videos coming your way soon, it all depends on where and when I can get the internet to work :/

This is awesome!! What do you do for work? I’d love to travel when I graduate, and this program seems amazing. But I’m sure there is a trick to all of this. LOL. It can’t be that easy to travel and work.

Auckland is the worst place in New Zealand so it does get better. Um people are probably gonna think your strange as vlogging has never been done before here. I would also imagine the Maori guys will be making sexual gestures to you and i would do my best to avoid confrontations. And no one likes Americans so make sure you let them know that your a Canadian

Wow you were in West Auckland(Represent) at bethels and that waterfall kinda looks like you were in Piha kerikeri falls. Please be careful at bethel beach in west Auckland because that place is extremely dangerous to swim in a year ago or so a rugby player went missing. Your best places to do are Cornwallis and sometimes piha. Also north shore beaches are always primo places to swim etc.

You’ve come at a excellent time because its really hot for a change new zealand is normally wet and crap or all four seasons but you will get used to it after a year lol.

You should do a meet up Nadine for your New Zealand fans in Auckland. Also I don’t know if you notice but our internet is crap at the moment lol.

    @Matt

Woot nice bigotry stereotyping at your fullest there matt well played old chap.

I had to reply to you because will your post annoyed me here are some points for matt to consider

*Actually there are more asians than maori that live here in Auckland so therefore their would be more asians staring at you and wanting to hump you tbh bro

    * Your reference to maori’s in a stereotypical way is an old fashion way of thinking and a spit in my face because I’m part maori.

*Speaking from experince since Nadine is in Auckland at the moment she will notice that other places like welington and other red neck towns will be jealous of auckland for various of reasons.

*Your reason imo would be because you want her to meet you hence demoralise auckland so she would move places where you could one day meet her either that or your’e bit of an asshole with prejudice views.

Anyways back to Nadine after a year or so you may get bored of New Zealand because I notice that with people that I’ve talken too that have come from overseas almost half of them will say nothing happens here but I suppose thats the price you pay for living in one of the safest place in the world.

Hey Nadine, yahooo… I love to travel… um… er well U travel and i travel with U virtually from florida but now U’ve got another winter and our Christmases are backwards but… WTF… yippie… Keep everything on one channel for me, just one mouse click. Do they have toilets in New Zealand? Nadine, now that U are there, New Z’s internet usage will grow by 60%. I think that New Z was an excellent choice. U can better understand the history of communication by starting at the beginning… U know… cave drawings… traced hand prints and working Ur way to the USA…

  8. I envy you Nadine! I miss traveling so much, but the economy sucks and the dollar is worth, well not much. I may however be going to CANADA this year. We’ll see. Anyway enjoy yourself and see lots.

I would keep the blog all together rather than split it up. It should be a running log. Just my opinion.

    Enjoy!

Wow what rubbish right there, absolute rubbish — all of that. I completely agree with Alex, you are a complete bigot! Are you an Australian or a kiwi we want to jump to Aussie ASAP? I’ll pay for your flight and get your visa’s sorted!
And fun fact: between 1842 and 1865, Auckland was the capital city of New Zealand.
