Winter SHENANIGANS in Italy

This was my first time visiting the north of Italy and we had 2 fun days exploring Bergamo and Turin.

We spent our time in Bergamo enjoying some Italian espresso, walking around the city, and riding the funicular to get up to the older upper district. There’s definitely a medieval feeling here with the architecture and the huge city walls which were built almost 500 years ago.

I could spend multiple days just walking around this city and feeling like I’ve been transported into a fantasy novel! There are art galleries, museums, and beautiful churches to find in Bergamo. And if you love walking the streets as much as I do, definitely try food tour. You’ll get some expert insight into the history and cuisine of this beautiful city and you can’t beat Italian food.

Our first stop in Turin was the Basilica di Superga. From up on this hill you get an incredible view over Turin and all the way to the Italian Alps rising in the distance. It was another day of walking the streets, visiting more churches, and admiring the architecture. For dinner we went to Ristorante Urbani and I got some delicious pizza which I had been dying to get ever since we got to Italy.
