Stickaid 2010

Hey everyone!!

So this weekend (Sept 4-5) a very exciting event is taking place online: Stickaid 2010! Stickaid is a 24 hour non stop variety show streaming live on to raise money for UNICEF.

Now my good friend Myles is hosting and organizing the show this year and asked me to put together a video segment for the show. This is a snippet of my 2010 segment and below it is my segment from last year .

Since I had so much fun doing the video concept of last years, I figured if it ain’t broke, why fix i.

Nadine, why do I have to be the only Citizen who can read tyranny? I know that you are a Canadian but many Americans count you as our own. Catholic World News Brief 10/26/2010 2001 testifies, “UNICEF actively promotes abortion and sexual rights to children…” says Anna Halpine, President of the World Youth Alliance (WYA). You ask us to support UNICIEF who takes our donations and they support Abortion-Genocide. It’s not gonna look too good on your earthly resume when Jesus looks at it…

Dude, jake, what the hell? You pay no attention to the continuing murder of 52 Million fellow Citizens in abortion clinics all the time. Quit ignoring Abortion-Genocide.

    Hi Ralph

My name is Ben and i head up the Stickaid Media team. The UNICEF supporting abortion thing is an old email send around myth that people to this day keep bringing up. After asking our contact at UNICEF they linked us to a page on their international website which states the following.

“UNICEF has long viewed the responsible planning of family size, especially birth spacing, as an essential part of maternal and child health (MCH) services. While containing rapid population growth is generally the central concern of most family planning advocates, UNICEF sees the primary objective of child spacing as bringing about an improvement in the survival, well-being and quality of life of the child, the mother and the family.

In 1994, the Cairo International Conference on Population and Development made it clear that family planning programmes must be part of a wider approach to improved child survival, safe motherhood and reproductive health.

That wider approach – including increasing women’s control over their own lives, working for gender equality, and improving levels of women’s health and education – demands the efforts of many United Nations organizations and specialized agencies, and involves a broad division of labour between them.

As a matter of policy, approved by its Executive Board, UNICEF does not advocate any particular method of family planning, believing this to be a matter best decided by people themselves in accordance with their needs, values and preferences. As a matter of practice, UNICEF does not provide contraceptive supplies. UNICEF has never provided support for abortion and it continues to be the long-standing UNICEF policy not to support abortion as a method of family planning.”

I hope this clarifies a few things.

    Many Thanks
