Vancouver YouTube Gathering
On Sept 10, 2011 I took part in the 2011 Vancouver YouTube Gathering!
A Youtube gathering, for those that do not know, is a chance to meet up with fellow content creators in your town. I’ve been to many of them before, including VidCon, which is an annual organized video convention down in LA. This gathering wasn’t nearly as involved, it was simply a chance to hangout with some pretty awesome Vancouver Youtubers. It reminded me of how gatherings used to be back in 2008/09 before sponsors were involved. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not again corporate sponsorship for events like VidCon, because without them such amazing conventions cannot take place. It is just refreshing to have a small group to chat, chill and check out Davie Day: The annual street festival which just so happened to time itself perfectly with our gathering.
Either way, I had a lot of fun and I cannot wait till this next one!
