Revisiting China

What your in CHINA? No silly blog reader, I’m actually just really lazy.

When I was in China last year I made a total of 8 vlogs. Now I posted them all to my youtube channel so if you were subscribed to it, you would have seen them. This is where the lazy part comes in, I did end up writing 4 of the 8 blog posts, (which you can find here) but the other 4 got side tracked by all the Jamaica videos I had to get out.

So, since this new website design allows for easier viewing of older archived posts, here is the first of 4 unseen China posts!

Summer Palace Front

Summer Palace

AKA, the Chinese Emperor’s Vacation Home. No, not really, it’s just a Palace that was used at some point.

Yea, I wouldn’t mind being an Emperor. Best view in Beijing! Just imagine all the skyscrapers in the distance gone.

Summer Palace Other Side

Hello Chinese Hallway

In comparison to the other tourist spots we have visited on our trip, the Summer Palace was one of the least crowed. The Forbidden City was the worst!

First signs of blossoming trees since we left Bali!

Temple of Heaven

Another tourist spot we chose to quickly check out since it was walking distance from our hotel. Funny story; I don’t have any video footage from here because while we were taking photos my friend Kristy accidentally dropped her camera and broke the lens so we ended up using mine for everything. AND, to make matters worse, I was all out of memory on my SD card! Talk about your string of bad luck.

Not to worry though, everything worked out in the end since we just ended up going to one of the markets and picked up a cheep camera there. This is China after all :P

The view over the lake is nice! I’ve been to Beijing a couple of times, and always think the air is highly polluted there. You were lucky the sky was nice.

Beautiful pics and as usual enjoyed the video—China was never on my bucket list but I might re-think that– Looked like you were having a great time (although a bit chilly) Thanks Nadine
