Thank you!! I’m so glad I can share my vlogs with you guys :) There is going to be so many videos coming your way, you won’t even know what to do!! :P

  2. Wow … this is a long and what sounds like it will be an amazing trip! I’m so jealous!
I would love to take trips like these but it will probably be forever before I could afford a trip this big… so in the mean time I will just have to enjoy your videos and blogs and dream lol. At least this summer sometime around July I think, I will be taking a trip after graduation but its not going to be nearly as long or to anywhere near as exciting but hopefully will be an exciting start to my travels nonetheless. I have still yet to decide where I want to go because there are so many cool places I haven’t been yet! You’re so lucky that you have the opportunity to partner with people like contiki and when you took the trip for sanyo but I know that you have worked very hard to get those opportunities and you totally deserve it. I hope you have an amazing time and I can’t wait to see your videos, pictures, blogs and everything else you do :)

Any suggestions for a good place to start my travels? I think I probably only have like 3000 dollar budget…. My parents were saying I should go to Vegas but idk if that is the best idea. My dream would be somewhere like Dubai, or New Zealand / Australia or Iceland, or somewhere in Europe like Greece or Italy…. but those trips will have to wait until later!

Hope you have a safe and amazing trip,
    -Alex

P.S. Sorry I comment a lot and there so long lol.. I hope there not annoying or anything, I just get overly excited sometimes!

      Hey Alex!!

First thank you very much!!! :) I’m super excited.
Second, wow, I’m excited for your trip as well, right after graduation is the perfect time! Ok, 3000 you say. Well, I guess it depends where you are in the world. I highly recommend NZ or Aussie, they are great for first time solo travelers. Southeast Asia is great because it’s cheep, but a bit scarier to do solo. Vegas is expensive, and more something you do as a short term trip. As for Europe, I’ve never been, but I’ve heard great things!

      -Cheers!

      • NZ our Australia would be awesome but I agree that I might not be ready for a trip like southeast Asia… especially solo as you mentioned… I really wish I had a great group of friends to travel with but I’m sure I will someday :P Maybe this whole contiki thing could be an option… (this whole social media marketing of theirs is working! lol)

As for me… I’m in Toronto right now for school, but my family is in Texas so I may be travelling from there come summer time….

Worried that I couldn’t afford a trip that would do those places justice on such a budget tho… with flights and all that :S I guess there’s hoping my family is rather generous for grad presents!

Hi Fellow Torontonian here! I wouldn’t suggest Southeast Asia unless you know someone there, have a travelling buddy or speak a bit of the language. I’ve been to Cambodia and Vietnam. Both culturally interesting and beautiful but not too safe if you are going solo. Also, you must be savy when dealing with people there. Bargaining is a must or else you will get ripped off.

I suggest Europe! If $3,000 is the limit you can always just go to one select city like paris and london or go around italy. Travel via Eurorail, its cheaper. I desperately want to do a Europe trip too. Haha. Its just once your there, its hard not to travel to other places like Amsterdam, Greece or Spain.

Congrats! This sounds like the most amazing experience ever! I had the most incredible time on the Contiki tour I did in 2010 and can’t imagine spending 3 months having that much fun! Can’t wait to hear about your travels!
(P.S. I hope your TM in New Zealand is Bridget! She was my TM in the UK and she’s doing NZ tours now and she is absolutely awesome!)

    • nadine says:

hahah thanks :P Yea, I’ll try not to hit anyone this time. We are going to other parts of NZ, some I have done before, some I haven’t. Either way, there will be tons of great footage.

      • David says:

I dont blame you for going back there i think i done the same thing if i was you its a realy beautiful pace of what i have seen from your ealy vlogs

and that part where you hit that guy i think it was the best part of the vlog hahah .

  5. David says:

Hi Nadine I noticed you’ll be hitting up my home city Brisbane and Surfers Paradise, I’d love to meet you when you get here, I was shooting travel videos for a Cruise Ship in Europe last year so we defiantly exchange shooting and editing tips and anything else travel related

All the best you’ll have a blast.

  6. Beery says:

Hey Nadine! I’m so excited for you and your new adventure. Congrats on the contiki Tour partership! I live all the way in the Middle East (Kurdistan, Iraq) and would love for you to come and visit sometime! I’m proud of how much you have packed! (I would have packed way more!) Which is why I’m not suited for holidays like these! :)
Anyway, much love, and have fun!
    xxx

  7. Bec says:

Have an amazing time:) recently got back from a NZ Contiki myself. Best experience ever:) can’t wait to heAr about your adventures and to hear who you have as tour leader and driver :) Please post vid soon xox

  8. Ben Walton says:

Wow, you’re going to do pretty much the same trip I’m on but in reverse! I started out in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, then I did Malaysia and Singapore (I did it with a tour company called Tucan). I miss it all so much! Tubing in Laos! Party boats in Nha Trang! You’re going to love it. Will take a while for you to get used to how busy the streets in Vietnam etc are, they’re just crazy!

Then I went to Australia, but I did the west coast this time, I’ve been down the east coast before. I drove from Perth to Broome, and flew to Darwin. The east coast is so much busier, I’m not sure which is prefer. They’re great in different ways.

And now I’m in New Zealand, currently Wanaka, but off to Franz Josef on Saturday before heading back up to the North Island and the Bay of Island which I’ve yet to see. Fergburger in Queenstown!! Milford Sound was the highlight of New Zealand for me, the Rugby world cup was pretty special too.

I’m so jealous you’re at the start of your trip and I’m coming to the end of mine.

  9. Jessica says:

Well, just watched your experience of north qld, looks like you enjoyed it! I’m a senior in highschool right now and am about to graduate school in 6 months. Next year i plan on my own contiki adventure! I am quite excited, the only down side is, i live in australia, and all the flights from here are so expensive!

Best of luck on your travels! :)
