Arthur’s Pass : South Island New Zealand

Sometimes it is nice to take a break from all the crazy activities to just sit on the coach and relax. The last two days were a lot of that. Time to catch up on some sleep, editing and just relax as we travel to our next destination.

Vlog 7: Contiki NZ Grand Explorer, Picton- Christchurch- Franz Josef, New Zealand

Lucky me, the rain timed itself perfectly so I could focus on getting my editing work done on the bus.

Christchurch

After a day of R&R we spent the night in Christchurch and our Contiki group ordered pizzas from Hell’s Pizza for dinner, but the pizza guys forgot to bring the pizzas in the delivery car! That was definitely a first, LOL.

The next morning we were up bright and early for a quick tour of Christchurch.

It was a very somber morning since seeing the city in such a state was quite depressing. Last time I was in Christchurch, back in January 2011, I got a chance to go into the iconic cathedral in the CBD. This time, I saw a gate and warning signs.

After our quick tour it was back onto the road for a scenic drive through Arthur’s Pass towards Franz Josef and our next stop.

Look more like the Roller Coaster of Terror—Nothing as fun as doing 95 mph down a winding road in a Contiki Bus. LOL Ashame about the earthquake but other than that nothing but beautiful landscape everywhere–Luxurious pool at the end of your vid—very nice–(cute friend also–just sayin)
    Thanks again—another enjoyable Vlog.
